Set a monthly ceiling for any category. Your month report then warns you when you get close or go over.
Get a calendar reminder each month to download your statement and see where the money went.

Keep your history and plans on every device. Only totals are saved, never your transactions.
Put the app on your home screen so it opens like any other app, even with a weak connection.
On iPhone or iPad: tap the Share button in Safari, then Add to Home Screen.
The quickest way to teach the app is Quick sort, or changing a category under Spending, All transactions. Everything it knows is here too.
Your taught words, category changes, splits, targets, plans, limits and saved month totals live in this browser. Save them as a file to keep them safe or move them to another device.
Put the thing first: biscuits, fuel, POS, gift Tolu. Short remarks are easiest to match.
Pick data or airtime and stick to it, so each month compares cleanly with the last.
Cash from a POS agent or ATM is a blind spot. POS market or cash transport tells you where it really went.
Transfers with savings, invest or your savings app name count as money saved, not spent. Add the app name in More, under Categories and words.
Your statement is read inside this app on your device. It is never uploaded. Your taught words stay on this device unless you save a backup file. If you choose to sign in (where accounts are switched on), only month totals, plans, limits and targets are saved to your account, never transactions or remarks.
Amounts are shown in the currency found on your statement. The budget check starts from the 50/30/20 guideline (50% needs, 30% wants, 20% savings), a common rule of thumb, and you can change the targets. None of this is financial advice. Statement reading is automatic, so check the "Every transaction" list, because unusual bank layouts can be misread.
